Description
Postcard with a black and white photograph of dynamiting an ice gorge on the Kaw River on the front. Photograph depicts several uniformed men standing on ice sheets on the river, an explosion can be seen in the background. At the bottom of the photograph is a black strip with "Dynamiting the Ice Gorge, Kaw, River, Lawrence, Kans." printed in white ink. On the back is a note to Miss Emma Keister in La Crosse, Kansas from C.M. in Lawrence, Kansas. The note discussed that the location of the photograph is east of the bridge. Postmarked February 13, 1910.
