Description
Postcard with a colored image of Bowersock Mills & Power Company on the front. Image shows Bowersock Mills from across the river on the north side as well as the dam and bridge. At the top of the postcard "Lawrence, Kans., Kansas River, Bridge and Factories (High Water) is printed in red ink. Beneath the text "1909" is written in blue ink. Towards the middle of the front "1308 Vermont Yours Sincerely Stanley M.H." is written in pencil. On the back along the left side "10994 Pub. by Carl W. Mettner, Lawrence, Kans. Published in Germany" is printed sideways in green ink. On the back is a note to Mr. Tom W. Randall in Newton Kansas from his nephew Stanley in Lawrence. Note states that Stanley is enrolled in law school. Postmarked September 18, 1909.
