Description
Postcard with a colored image of the girls' dormitory at Haskell College on the front. Image focuses on the front and right side of the building along with the small concrete pond in the drive leading up to the building. A white border is around the image. At the bottom border "Girls' Dormitory, Haskell Institute, Lawrence, Kans." is printed in black ink. On the back in the middle "C.T. American Art" is printed sideways in blue ink. A note is written on the back to Mr. and Mrs. G.R. Meliek in Perry, Iowa from Mabel F.R. at 1305 Vermont Street, Lawrence, Kansas. Note states that Mabel walked to Haskel and visited the girls' dormitory. Postmarked October 6, 1926. Information on when the postcard was acquired is on the back, 1/31/1978 from Shryock Joplin. Note: Mrs. Edna Krader is listed as the home owner of 1305 Vermont in the 1925-1926 directory.
