Postcard with a black and white photograph of the bridge over the Kaw during the 1908 flood on the front. Photograph is looking south down the bridge at a group of people standing on the road's edge just in front of the bridge, a rope barricade has been put up. The Boener Brothers Cigar Factory building is in the background on the right side. At the bottom of the photograph is a black strip with "223 Watching the '08 Flood from Bridge Lawrence, Ks Photo by Lawrence" printed in white ink. A white border is around the entire photograph. On the right side "1908" is written in pencil. A note is written on the back to Ima E. Homold in Kansas City, Missouri from Edna in Lawrence, Kansas. Note is about the two visiting each other soon. Postmarked July 15, 1908.
